Coasteering in Wexford

As with most things a quick Google search will help you find the answer you’re looking for, in this case it will tell you; Coasteering is a physical activity that encompasses movement along the intertidal zone of a rocky coastline on foot or by swimming, without the aid of boats, surf boards or other craft  As it most things on the internet every thing is not what it seems.

Cayman Islands

Most people associate the Cayman Islands with Offshore Banking, and with individuals, sometimes unscrupulous people who want to keep their financial business secret.  But as I descended the line into the warm tropical Caribbean Sea it became clear that Grand Caymans best kept secrets are beneath the waves.  I’d booked a two tank dive with Indigo Divers, and had risen early to be at the marina for 7.20am.

Another Africa - off river pursuits for a trip to the Zambezi

I always think it’s a great shame to hear that people have visited Africa, boated the might of the Zambezi or Nile, drank like soldiers… and then returned home. Maybe it’s just me, but there seems to be a charm and magic about travel in Africa that can only be fully appreciated by dumping the kayak for a few weeks and going exploring.

What is Coasteering? In a word FUN!

In more than one word, it is a coastal exploration in the inter tidal zone using a number of different techniques such as adventure swimming, jumping, shallow water entries, climbing and traversing to tackle different feature of the coast such as cliffs, sea arches blow holes gullies and the swell of the ocean or sea.
